Cornhole is an American game where two or four players alternate throwing beanbags onto a raised platform. The goal is to get the bag into the 6" diameter hole at the top of the board. When the bag goes in the hole it is worth three points, when it stays on the board that is one point. At the end of the round, the score is subtracted. Ex. Team A has one bag on the board and one bag in the hole, while Team B has only one bag on the board. Therefore, Team A gets three points for that round. First to 21 or 11 wins.
Each board measures 24" wide by 48" long. With the legs extended, they sit about 12'' off the ground.
Every cornhole board set I make uses 1/2'' exterior grade plywood for the board surface, pine 2'x4's for the supports and legs, and stainless steel carriage bolts and washers.
I apply 3-4 coats of semi-gloss exterior paint to each set. The logos and rings around each hole are made of high-quality vinyl. Because I use exterior paint, the boards are weather-resistant and should not require any additional finish or weatherproofing.
They're heavy! Because I use 1/2'' plywood and strong 2x4's, each board weighs about 30 lbs. You can find lighter sets on the market, but they won't be as strong and durable.
It usually take about 2-3 weeks for me to produce a custom set. That is mainly due to the multiple paint applications to give them just the right look.
I sell each custom cornhole set for $275, which includes eight beanbags (four each of two different colors) and your choice of decal and paint colors.
Due to the size and weight, unfortunately these are only available for local pickup in DC/Northern Virginia area.
I made my first set -- Virginia Tech -- as a Christmas gift for my sister. I watched a YouTube video on how to do it, and I already had some experience in woodworking, so I tried it and they came out great! That inspired me to start my own custom woodworking business.
For a $15 charge I can attach rope handles to the sides of each board to make them easier to carry. For a $25 charge I can also add a beanbag storage box below each board.
Yes! I just need your logo in a common graphic format (i.e. JPG, PNG, etc.) and to know what paint colors you'd like for the boards.
